If rain, sleet, heat, wind, and protests haven't stopped us from riding every Thursday night, why would a holiday? That's right, it's time for the annual Thanksgiving post-feast TNSR!
Because we'll all have loaded up with extra calories, we'll ride a little farther than we've been doing lately -- we may even make two shorter stops instead of one long one, depending on crowd size and weather -- so let's try to aim for wheels down at about 8:15. Like the last two years, we'll be ending at the Lost Well where they'll be having happy hour prices all night long and, if we're lucky, there will still be food from their potluck -- last year there was a ton of awesome stuff!
PS - if you can't make the ride, but plan to meet us at the bar, be a sport and bring a dish for the potluck.
Boilerplate:
Social Cycling Austin rides AS traffic and NOT AGAINST it. We stop at red lights, yield the right of way and let cars pass as best we can. We don't block intersections. We are nice to both our fellow riders and the other traffic on the road. LISTEN TO the volunteers helping to lead the ride. They are some nice folks and have you best interest in mind. If you have any questions about the rules, I suggest you check here: http://bicycleaustin.info/laws/austin.html
REMINDER: The goal has always been to create a safe environment for all riders, but we cannot control, nor do we desire to, every rider's behavior. We promote personal responsibility, and it is each rider's responsibility to take care of themselves, and if they choose to ride with us, then they accept those risks inherent in riding a bicycle with a large group of other people riding bicycles.
