Hey everybody - weather is looking good for tomorrow's ride. We should have some cloud cover in the morning to keep the heat off.
Once again, the plan is to meet on the corner of E 6th and Chicon (Rabbit's parking lot across from the Cool Store).
We'll get started right at 8:30am. My cell is 3 one two, 37one-zero six 13. If for some reason you are running behind or don't see us please text. Based on responses we'll have five or six people riding - should be fun.
Best, Chris
Hi All - This ride is definitely on and taking place on Saturday, June 16th.
Don, great to see you are in again for the ride. Missed you in Blanco at the Real Ale ride. Ended up doing the fifteen instead of the thirty.
Toadie plus one, fantastic and look forward to meeting you two.
Runzilla - thanks for the heads up on other places to post. I will look to do that. It you want to re-post and link to here that is great. This is a fun ride that we do and the more the merrier. Thanks.
I will be sure and post late next week re-confirming time and meeting place (8:30am at Sixth and Chicon, Rabbits lot).
Hey All-
I have been doing the Moontower ride on Saturdays that covers all 15 existing moontower locations (really 14.5 since 22nd and Nueces is just the base). It is roughly a 23.5 mile trek with some decent climbs. You can check out the route here at MapMyRide.

We make two scheduled stops for water at the Zilker Park Clubhouse (cold water fountains at mile 8.5) and for a snack/water the Avenue B Store and Deli in Hyde Park (18 mile point). The ride is a fun ride so we can stop as needed too.
The ride starts at 8:30am on the eastside at Sixth and Chicon and ends at the East 11th and Lydia moontower (next to Longbranch Inn and Hillside Farmacy). It usually takes about 2 1/2 hours with the stops.
If anyone is interested in a Saturday morning, June 16th ride let me know by posting and we can coordinate.
Best. Chris
@Don.
Saturday May 12th is still a go for me. Let's meet on the corner of Chicon and E. 6th at 8:30am. Same - I too, just wear a pair of shorts and t-shirt and just ride a run of the mill Trek that is the cheapest model they have.
I did the ride this past Saturday with a couple of pit stops, Zilker Clubhouse Building (cold water at mile 8) and Avenue B Store (soda and energy bar at mile 16).
The ride takes me about 2 1/2 hours so we should be finished around 11am.
Right now it looks like just the two of us. My cell is three1 two, 3 seven one, cero seis 1 three. You can text me if this time and meet up spot works for you.
Best. Chris
@Donald Lewis
I am a 10 - 12 mph guy so we are probably a good fit. I like to start prior to 9am to beat the heat. Thoughts - does that work?
I am going to do it sometime this week with my sister and brother-in-law and they may join for the 12th too. We are all prepping for the Real Ale ride in Blanco that next weekend.
Best.

The ride starts on the eastside where we fuel up with a few breakfast tacos (Veracruz or Tamala House East) and ends at the East 11th and Lydia moontower (next to Longbranch Inn and Hillside Farmacy).
I would like to make this a monthly ride if anyone is interested and ultimately get the Midnight Moontower ride back in action.
If anyone is interested in a Saturday morning, May 12th ride let me know by posting and we can coordinate.
Best. Chris
