This forum’s roots date back to the very first bike email list in Austin, starting in 1994, and it played a part in the getting the segregated bike lanes you see all over town.  Be a part of history and make a post!

July 4th @ 1pm: freedom XXXtravaganza with Austin Yellow Bike & co.

July 4th, starting at 1pm in Wooldridge Square Park (9th and Guadalupe),
-Invincible Czars perform Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture (www.invincibleczars.com)
-Drag diva Rebecca Havemeyer does an Ode to America with the Little Stolen Moments (http://rebeccahavemeyer.com)
-The Yellow Bike Project will be there to help you decorate your bike and make your own flag.  They'll also be releasing a small fleet of their famous Yellow Bikes - "free to ride, but not to keep".  (www.austinyellowbike.com)

Once the performers have performed and the bikes are decorated, we'll get into some paradey action with our fancy bikes.  Spread the word!
