Join the City of Austin, City of Sunset Valley and Hill Country Conservancy to celebrate the completion of the Violet Crown Trail – North project! This one-mile extension of the Violet Crown Trail system connects Home Depot Boulevard to MoPac just north of William Cannon Drive. With the completion of this segment, the Violet Crown Trail is now contiguous from Zilker Park to Slaughter Creek.

The celebration will include:
• Remarks from elected officials and a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:15 AM
• Live performances from the Crockett Cougar Band
• Complimentary popsicle treats to keep you cool
• A family-friendly bike ride led by Ghisallo Cycling Initiative
• An interactive nature walk led by Hill Country Conservancy
• Kids projects & activities from The Home Depot
