hey folks-
I just got a call from Robin Stallings, head guy over at Texas Bicycle Coalition www.biketexas.org , asking that if anyone is doing critical mass today to try to keep it small, orderly and away from the Capitol. SB 859, the Safe Passing Bill, still has a chance as an amendment on a transpo funding bill, but if there's a large, unruly CM ride it could cause major problems and/or defeat of the bill. He said that the CM during the last legislative session 2 years ago caused them some major problems getting support for "Safe Routes to Schools" which should have been easy to pass, the "Safe Passing Bill" has much more opposition. contact me if you have further questions
thanks,
Michael F Zakes, prop.
