I did catch this; this turns it into a technological problem, which is
considerably more solvable than the "there ain't enough oil left to
bother drilling for it" problem.
More importantly, it lets Bush, CAMPO, and local politicians with
pockets fat from highway lobby lucre continue to plan for a MORE ROADS,
NO MASS TRANSIT future.
Failing fresh water delivery systems, global warming, and soil depletion
/ loss of arable land are problems far too complex for the likes of the
CAMPO board, I'm afraid; i.e. these equally valid arguments for fewer
cars on the road are not going to make a dent in their thinking.
