Whoops, I missed that they were bike cops.  I guess we're back to 
square one then. :(


In other news, when someone unsubscribes from the list they get a 
message asking them to share with me why they left.  I'll share this 
with you periodically.  Here's one that just came in, and my reply:

Thanks for letting me know.  For a mechanics community, I'd recommend 
checking out the Yellow Bike Project, if you haven't already.  They're 
listed in the Organizations section of the website.

Also, about riding on the sidewalks "to avoid injury", cyclists are 
nineteen times more likely to be injured while riding on the sidewalk 
than on the road.  There's more on this at http://BicycleSafe.com .
