BIKE: Re: New "kid" in town

I'm new here (from Houston area), and looking forward to finally getting settled-in and getting into riding again, and losing this excess tonnage I'm carrying around. 
I will be living in Wells Branch, and cycling to work at Burnet Rd. & Rutland as often as I can. I've gotten some advice already from list members as to what routes to take, so I'm good there.
What I'm wondering is if there are any cyclists around my age (52) in the Wells Branch area who might like to ride together on weekends sometimes.
Also, for those of you who ride in & around Zilker Park on Saturdays, check out the guys throwing boomerangs out there near the bridge. Stop in and give it a try. I'll be joining them as soon as I can, once I'm settled. The guy with longish blonde hair is a friend of mine from San Marcos. He'll show you how to throw a boomerang.
