BIKE: Re-evaluation of SCB CE's

well, the idea of the high price tag for the permanent stickers is for the
re-striping involved in front of their house. IIRC the NUNA stickers are
$50. if we call it a "market based parking reform" I'm sure the Repuglicans
would be all for it. If we start at $500 and then dropped it to $200-250
range, or whatever it would get them thinking (hopefully) that on-street
parking isn't "free"
>How
is this any different from what exists now? How does narrowing the
striping make any difference?
the narrow (i.e. standard bike lane striping) makes it more obvious that the
entire freaking bike lane is blocked by the parked car, hence the need to
move around it, as compared to the current "full sized car parking lane (and
screw the bikes if they need to swerve around)" masquerading as a bike lane
