BIKE: A new rant.

Have any of you been riding east on 2222 between 620, RiverPlace, and the big downhill, since the recent road improvements?

The new white lines with built in bumps and the changing width of the shoulders from a couple of feet to 6" wide is starting to get on my nerves each time I ride the road. When I ride to the left of the white shoulder lane, cars fly by me to close for comfort, or honk. If I try to ride to the right of the shoulder line, I get squeezed off the road, then have to cut across the bumps back into traffic every couple hundred feet. There never was any shoulders to speak of before they worked on the road, but least your teeth weren't jarred out your mouth whenever you crossed the painted line.

Obviously who ever approved the road changes didn't think of cyclist's safety at all.

Regards;

Joe
