BIKE: More council candidate surveys, and TBC's secret advocacy

Five candidates for city council positions have returned the
BicycleAustin survey and their answers are on the website. That's 1/3
of candidates. Could be better, could be worse. I could say the same
about their answers. I'll endorse tomorrow.

Also, at the Yellow Bike Shop at Wheatsville I recently noticed a flier
for some event called something like "Cyclists in Suits" where cyclists
were supposed to ride with legislators, though I saw the flier after
the event had already happened. Sounds kind of like a Political Pedal
thing, but with a different date, different organizers (Texas Bicycle
Coalition), and not much effort to get the word out. Did anyone else
know about this? If so I wish you would have posted to this list so
everyone here would know. If it was posted here and I missed it, I
apologize for not seeing it. Otherwise, I guess this is part of the
TBC's new strategy of being effective advocates by not letting anyone
know what they're doing.

Finally, big thanks to ACA for publishing the list of Bike Month
events. Now I don't have to. Whoo-hoo!
