I collected most of the information by using Google and "Copenhagen Metro" plus variants.
I downloaded and analyzed the pdf annual reports from the O/restad Corporation, the owner.
Much like the old airport in Austin; Copenhagen had a closed military base with a bit of unused port property "on the wrong side of the canal". They realised that they could maximize the value & development potential of this land by building a grade seperated rail line down the middle of it (600 m x 5 km from memory). So they are using the land as collateral to build the "Y" line, which is expected to turn a profit this year.
One leg is under old Copenhagen in subway with a 2 km surface line on an old RR at the end.
The old military base got 5 km elevated transit (some of it quite striking), slightly over half embankment. This is another leg of the "Y".
The last leg goes to the airport AND the rail link between Sweden & the mainland. This was going to be elevated but now will be in trench to get under the freeway; and then taking two freeway lanes.
All told, I have looked at ~20 internet sites and have some nice photos that I will forward when I am back home this Friday. (Can this group accept photos for others interested ?)
I put some photos in the Yahoo Tampa Bay transit group (forgot exact name but search).
I also got a little data directly from Metro.
