BIKE: Bicyclist killed in East Austin hit and run

Police are searching for the person who killed a man in a hit and run
accident Saturday night in East Austin. 

According to a press release from the Austin Police Department, it is
believed the driver of a sedan was traveling southbound in the 4600
block of Ed Bluestein Boulevard and struck a bicyclist who was riding on
the roadway. 

It happened just after 8 p.m. October 30. 

The driver of the car did not stop at the scene. 

The bicyclist was pronounced dead Monday at Brackenridge Hospital. 

Detectives believe the vehicle was a black Saturn. 

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call CrimeStoppers at
472-TIPS. 

The name of the 43-year-old victim has not been released yet. 

This is the 59th traffic fatality of 2004.
