BIKE: 620 @ Anderson Mill?

Has anyone traveled 620 northbound thru the Anderson Mill intersection 
lately? I've moved and my new commute will take me thru there on the way 
home. They're building a new HEB megabox there, and from the car 620 
northbound looks more chewed up than usual as you approach the Anderson 
Mill traffic light: no shoulder, decaying road surface, lots of loose 
gravel and assorted construction debris.

If anyone has braved that stretch on a bike recently I would appreciate 
some input.
