BIKE: Two route requests

Chuck,

I was wondering about taking your route to 183 but then taking a more
"neighborly" route: from 183 winding through neighborhoods going northwest
and getting on Metric; then take Metric to Howard Lane, left a little ways
and then on through neighborhoods to Bratton Lane. Take Bratton to Parker Dr
(via Michael Angelo Way), and then left on 1325 for a little ways to a right
on La Frontera Blvd, and on up in the neighborhoods to Deep Woods Dr, take
that to Lake Creek Dr. and then a right on 620 a little ways to a left on S.
Chilsolm Trail, which ends up at Sam Bass.

What do you think?

A couple of questions:
How is Metric, traffic- and safety-wise?
How much more time do you think the neighborly route would take?
And how is N. Lamar safety-wise all the way up as you described?
