BIKE: Two route requests

I bike commute from North Austin to South Round Rock everyday. The route
I would recommend from downtown to Round Rock is thru the UT campus &
down Speedway. Get on  Guadalupe at the UT Credit union and take it to
183.  Just before 183 go about one block left to hit N.Lamar and take it
North until it ends at I-35. Take the I-35 frontage road to Round Rock.

suggestions?

Downtown Austin to Round Rock at Sam Bass Road/IH 35. Any ideas?


#2) Anyone have a relatively scenic and safe route to Gruene? I'm 
thinking of a ride out on a Saturday morning and back Sunday mid-day.
