Instead of going west of Hwy 183 and crossing 360, you could stay on the
east side.

There are two streets to consider riding on the east side of 183 to get to
your destination: Parmer Lane, and Duval.

1. Parmer Lane is rideable from Metric Blvd or Lamplight Village Ave. up to
Riata Vista Circle. True, there is heavy traffic on it during rush hours,
and getting through the intersection of Parmer and Mopac can be hairy, but
otherwise Parmer has wide shoulders.

2. An alternative is to ride Burnet Rd (or something similar - I'm not so
familiar with that area) north to Duval, cross over Mopac on Duval, ride
Duval (with narrow bike lanes) over to the 183 access road, take the 183
access road about 1/2 mile up to Riata Trace, then eastward to Riata Vista
Circle. The 183 access road is scary at times.

3. Alternatively, take Amherst Drive from Duval up to Parmer, then
northwest up to Riata Vista Circle. This will avoid both the Mopac &
Parmer intersection and the 183 access road.
