It is dismaying to find Patrick resuming his campaign against light rail 
transit.  His characterization above apparently is applied in response to 
Dave Dobbs's very simple observation that, based on Michael Bluejay's 
comment that the Las Vegas monorail travels 3.9 miles in 14 minutes,

I see nothing "Monorail-bashing" in Dave's comment, and certainly nothing 
to merit such an outburst.

Nevertheless, Patrick warms into a ferocious frenzy of light rail-bashing 
and his familiar exorbitant claims for monorails.  I'll respond to some of 
his tirade subsequently.
