BIKE: Kook posting on austin.general (related to SCB, I think)

Warning to everyone here:

Somebody's posting a bunch of old stuff out of our archives to the
austin.general newsgroup on USENET (managing to get things completely
wrong in the process; this moron has me and Patrick together as
advocating running stop signs and red lights - which to those of you who
have argued with me in the past on the subject will be quite a humorous
revelation).

I've seen reposted notes originally written by Mike Librik and threads
by Jeff Thorne and Michael Bluejay, as well as one involving me and
Patrick. The same guy (morphing) then reposted some articles from the
news, including the ones about bicycle tire-slashing, the Austin
bike-vs-truck murder, etc. Finally, he followed up his own garbage with
a thread in which he tries to incite the readers of the group (if there
are any amid the horrible signal-to-noise ratio of the last few years)
to ban bikes from the road.

I suspect this is one of our friends from the Shoal Creek debacle, using
a collection of rogue email addresses and some mail2news gateways. Take
a look-dahmus sometime if you want a real eye-opener.

Regards,
Mike Dahmus
