BIKE: Re: No P.O. Bike Racks

I most often use the P.O. near Congress and Ben White. After exersizing my
writing hand and naively filling out several suggestion cards over the past
few years, and being reminded of the lack of progress by this current
thread, I now have decided to bring my bike inside, each and every time,
from now on, until the problem is solved.

I suggest that any and all cyclists in Austin do the same -- politely bring
their bike inside any P.O. that DOES NOT have racks. [BTW, the downtown P.O.
DOES have a rack.]

And, each time they ask me to move my bike outside, I will readily do so,
and politely suggest that they install at least one bike rack. And, I will
have succeeded in reminding them of their deficiency. And, the more people
who do this, the clearer the message will become.

[I believe any P.O. can still get free racks from the city, but may have to
install them on their own.]

..And, unfortunately, I would not recommend that anyone bother filling out
any more suggestion cards on installing bike racks.

A firm believer in non-violent resistance,
