Subject: BIKE: Dead cyclist on 360?

Just got this from Heidi Armstrong at Dell. Anyone heard anything?

By the way, I notice that some people are using the ridiculously long email address for this list. You can do that if you want, but the easy address is: forum

    Michael,
I am in the process of moving from the 620 & 2222 area to the William Cannon & 290 area. Over the past few weeks I have been driving from south to north on 360 to get from my new house to my old apartment. About 3 or so weeks ago I noticed some orange spray paint reminiscent of a cyclist being hit by a car. It's on the northbound side of 360 just as the exit begins. On Sunday morning I made this journey early enough that I was able to slow down and I saw the unspeakable...an outline on the road and the words "bike" next to it. As a mountain and road racer I find it disturbing that I have not heard a *word* about this accident from either the media or the cycling community. Do you have any idea what happened here and has this been covered in the media? Thank you for your time in responding to my concern.

    Respectfully,
    Heidi
