BIKE: Bike Caravan to Crawford Tx, March 20

transportation reform, and there met the young lady to whom I promised 
I would relasy the message below. 

And so, if you like to ride a bike plus don't like GWBush/Bushwar, you 
might want to bike with Thistle and other bikers to Crawford Tx

Hello Austin!! (I got the majority of these email addresses from The Austin 
Environmental Directory but also from the Austin Against War meeting)

My name is Thistle (Kristine Pettersen) and I have been riding my bicycle 
for
the past five months across the country playing my original political folk
music to progressive groups, students, and activists. It has been a great

samples of songs and to see where I've played along the way and where I'm
playing next.

I will be performing my songs in Austin on March 3rd at the Hideout
Coffeehouse at 617 Congress for a suggested donation of $3-$5 at the door.
The performance will start at 8:00 and go until 10:00 with a short break
in between. The music is about learning to give up what the powers-that-be
tell us is security and creating what we know is real security; healthy
relationships, laughter, thoughts, songs, clean air,water and food.

I have met some of you already at Rhizome or Cafe Mundi or at the
permaculture potluck and it is great to see such a thriving community. We
have been riding around Austin for the past three weeks or so. You have a
lovely town--so much to do and see and to be inspired by--this is the
first place in the last five months where we have met so many others who
also ride their bikes cross county. My partner and I are helping to
organize a group of cyclists for a ride to Crawford for the March 20th peace

We will be having a very important organizational meeting at Cafe Mundi on
Sunday, February 29th at 3:00 to talk about logistics such as how many
days it will take us to get to Crawford from here, camping, gear and other
important things to think about way before the middle of March approaches.
If you would like to go on the ride, please come to this meeting or if you
would like to help support the riders, come to the meeting also because we
need support! If you just want to learn more, come to this meeting!
