Mia Birk told us at last Thursday's meeting on rails-with-trails about a
study Alta Planning has posted on its web page called "San Fransico's
Shared Use Pavement Markings". The study has photos of several sharrow
designs in the U.S. and some abroad (sorry, nothing here on New Orleans, so
it would be good to see some photos), and concludes that the best one is
the bike-and-chevron marking used in Chicago and Paris. Check it out at
http://www.altaplanning.com/.
