Thanks for the warning, Sessa.   Some schools are in session this week,
which adds to the traffic considerable. 
Along the same lines,  I had an non-threatening encounter with a good ol-boy
in a pickup this morning on Thermal Lane, just above Howard lane, while I
cycled to work.  He objected to my taking the lane, and politely informed me
that "you ain't no Lance Armstrong."
