So do you think the local news stations would be interested in a comparison of what you can get for $4million in bike/ped projects versus $4 million in road projects?

"12 miles of bike paths winding through the woods plus 5 miles or so of sidewalks versus 3000 feet worth of highway.  "

The plan here is to turn a two-lane undivided road into a four-lane divided road -- all 3/4-mile of it. That's right, 3/4-mile of roadway compared to miles and miles of sidewalks and bikeways.
