World Naked Bike Ride June 11th, 8pm Pease Park

https://www.facebook.com/events/1588117861509228/

Hi y'all! We're working on a route to start and finish at the same location. As soon as we have those details we will post them. For now please help spread the word and mark your calendars. We will also be hanging out at Hippie Hollow from noon to 6pm Saturday to get more naked time in if you want to join. Strongly suggest you don't plan on riding your bike from Hippie Hollow to the start location. We will post more info soon! Also We would love volunteers to help lead, hold off traffic at intersections while the pack rides, help stragglers at the back keep pace. If you are interested please message us.

World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) is an international clothing-optional bike event where participants ride en masse for the dual purpose of bringing attention to people powered transport and promoting positive body image. In the western hemisphere the event happens on the second Saturday in June, annually since 2004.

The event is bare-as-you-dare; anything from body paint to underwear to fanciful costumes are encouraged. Full nudity is still illegal but tipically so as long as it's with a mass group we are left alone by APD. Do have some type of clothing with you in the event an officer asks you to cover up. Just do it, do not argue, get back on your bike, strip again later and repeat if necessary. Full frontal nudity is at your own risk, but many participants do go all out. Body painting is typically available pre-ride, and personal expression is encouraged.

Participants often describe it as a transcendent group experience, personally transforming, and beyond superlative.

Meet up place is Pease Park, wheels down at 9pm.

Here's the chosen route

One thing I'd add is about the Capitol -- in the past, the cops there have been amused at the naked people riding around and have not arrested people for that -- but they *have* arrested people for drinking alcohol there.  So don't do it there, or if you do ... hide it.

For this reason, the Capitol should not be a stop, just a place to ride through on the way to greater glory ...
